This is our first blog, so bare with us!
We had our first life group last night and I am already excited about what God is going to do in the lives of our new minnie Pursuit family. I can honestly, and shamefully say, that this is the first real bible study or prayer group I have been a part of since College. Which just happend to end 7 years ago.
We met for 3 hours last night, talking about Paul's message, our prayer lives, what God is and has been doing in our lives, and strangely I had never felt so comfortable as I did with 5 people I had known for only minutes. It felt like we had been talking together or worshipping together for a much longer time, at least for me. As I thought about that I realized that in a sense we have been. Although we go to different services at the Pursuit, we are one big church family and share a connection more important than any other and that is our passion to love Jesus! I love, loving Jesus at the Pursuit and that is something that I believe we all have in common, regardless of which life group we are in or what service we attend. I don't think either Shane or I have been a part of a church family where we were more challenged while at the same time been so in love with loving Christ! The Pursuit has rocked our world for so many different reasons and as I learn to pray more dilligently and open up to the members of our life group, I honor and thank God everyday for the privelage of being able to be a part of something bigger. To be a part of God's great work at the Pursuit and everyday as I walk out my front door and interact with so many that don't know Him.
